The Mother Buckers Competitive Trim Team reconvened at Best Cali Hemp this week, as we set a goal to get our remaining inventory processed. We’ve decided after myriad boxes complete that this should be a new Olympic sport. We’ve begun build the Shrine Wall of beautifully completed hemp because as the saying goes, a picture’s worth a 1,000 words, and it’s been fun watching it grow. Far more satisfying than putting everything back in boxes and not really having a full visual understanding of how much has been accomplished. This may sound corny, but it’s

quite rewarding.

Katrina and I have a standing appointment each Tuesday with our chiropractor and biggest fan, Dr. Brandvold, because evolution hasn’t kept up with the fact humans walk upright and back when we were immortal, we subjected our bodies - as all youngsters do - to things we shouldn’t have. On our way back to the farm, we made a few stops and are thrilled with the response we’ve received from shop owners that are excited there’s an actual local farm to consumer endeavor happening in their proverbial backyard. Best Cali Hemp is one of very few farms in the United States that begins with the seeds and sees the process all the way through with our own hands to bring consumers our product.

Common practice is that farmers find a buyer and sell their entire crop outright each year. Insofar as hemp and CBD products go, most originate from outside sources. Hemp is purchased and processed, products manufactured, labeled accordingly and then sent to market. While we do provide wholesale and white labeling services as do other farms, we are proud to be able to tell our story and provide the faces behind our products and transparency about how we grow, conduct business and are in compliance with both state and federal law from start to finish. Beyond that, we’re not only compliant with current laws, but also with proposed and anticipated legislative requirements that will hit between now and 2022.
